GILLESPIE, John J., Sr. On September 2, 2010, of W. Deptford, formerly of Gloucester. Age 78. Husband of the late Bertha (nee Parisi). Father of Donna Bell (George) of W. Deptford, Tina L. Leafey (Shawn) of W. Deptford and John J. Gillespie, Jr. (Jillian) of W. Deptford. Brother of Mary Wilkie of Gloucester City, James Gillespie (Jean) of Blackwood and the late Charles Gillespie, Catherine Blaylock, Sue Larkin and Lillian Voll. Nine grandchildren and three great-grand-children. Also survived by companion Linda Nichols of Voorhees. John was a retired railroad conductor from Septa and was currently working as grounds keeper at the Pitman Golf Course. He was a Korean War Navy veteran and belonged to the VFW Post 3620 in Gloucester. He was a pool shark and enjoyed boating, fishing and playing cards. Regina Marie (Jeanne) Koppen, of Gloucester City, retired Postal Employee
KOPPEN, Regina (Jeanne) Marie (nee Strang), 58 years, on Friday, September 3, 2010, surrounded by family. Jeanne was born June 19, 1952, in Philadelphia, PA, was raised in Pine Hill, NJ and resided in Gloucester City. She is a recent retiree from the U.S. Postal Service in Bellmawr. The daughter of the late Robert and Regina Strang, Jeanne is survived by her husband of 36 years, Albert C. Koppen, Jr., her children, Maureen and Douglas Bailey of Pine Hill, Brian and Jennifer Koppen of Laurel Springs, siblings, Robert J. Strang, Jr (Sandy) and Donna Marie Bowers (Paul) and many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Jeanne was the very proud grandmother to Kevin, Colin and Erin Bailey, Jackson Koppen, and was anxiously awaiting the arrival of her 5th grandchild due in October.
