Camden’s Starting First Baseman Heads to Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees
CAMDEN, NJ: The Camden Riversharks announced Wednesday that first baseman Mike Lamb has been acquired by the New York Yankees organization. Lamb was tied for second in the Atlantic League in hits (54), was fifth in on-base percentage (.418) and was tenth for batting average (.320).
In his last 11 games he had 10 hits and three home runs which brought him to seven home runs for the year, tying him for the Riversharks lead. He recently provided the team’s only offense in the 2-1 win over the Long Island Ducks on Monday, driving in the team’s only runs with a single and a double.
