Paul George Ziegler Jr. went home to be with his Savior on Monday, Sept. 17, 2012. He was 85.
Born and raised in Audubon, N.J., he moved to and had resided in Bensalem for over 50 years.
A U.S. Coast Guard veteran, Paul was a member of the Philadelphia Bakery Union.
He was devoted to his family and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and many friends.
Paul was the beloved husband of the late Jane I. (Morris) Ziegler; devoted father of David P. Ziegler and his wife, Jamie, and George Ziegler; loving grandfather of David and his wife, Katie, Michael and his wife, Larissa, Megan, Jackie Everton, Adam, and Ben; and great-grandfather of seven.
Relatives and friends will be received by the family at 10 a.m. on Thursday, followed by the Funeral Service at 11 a.m. at the Hoffmann Funeral Home, 1770 Brown Ave. at Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Paul\’s memory may be made to the American Stroke Agency, 9707 E. Easter Lane, Suite B, Centinnial, CO 80112.

PPHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph’s women’s basketball team promoted assistant coach Susan Moran to associate head coach it was announced on Wednesday. Moran, the all-time leading scorer in Saint Joseph’s basketball history, is entering her 10th season at her alma mater after serving the past nine as an assistant coach.

PHILADELPHIA – The Saint Joseph’s softball team has added former Hawk standouts Brooke Darreff and Erin Gallagher to its coaching staff it was announced on Wednesday. Darreff rejoins her alma mater as an assistant coach, while Gallagher returns to the team as an undergraduate assistant.

On Wednesday August 22, I was extremely fortunate to regain my eyesight following ten weeks of living with massive vision loss in both eyes. A large brain tumor was removed and most of my vision, 20/15 before the tumor and operation was immediately restored.
My ailing 80 year old mother moved in with our family on Saturday, July 7. My wife Ann, who is an elder care nurse, and our five sons were able to monitor mom’s blood sugar and administer insulin.

NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released week one regional rankings for the NCAA Division II 2012 season. Lock Haven’s men in the Atlantic region and UNC Pembroke’s women in the Southeast region were ranked No. 1 in their regions, differing their initial preseason standing.
