(cnbnews.net)The new Planet Fitness gym, at the Brooklawn Shopping Center, opened last week in a section of the former K-Mart store. K-Mart closed the store two -years ago. Located in the same plaza as the ShopRite food market, the gym is opened and staffed 24 hours, seven days a week. It also appears the long awaited repairs on the shopping center\’s parking lot are finally nearing completion.
Last November CNBNews reporter Mark Matthews broke the story about the gym opening in Brooklawn before it was announced publicly.
Late Saturday afternoon, November 17, 2012, Matthews saw smoke coming from behind the old K-Mart. A fire had broken out in a trash container. After investigating it further Matthews wrote about what he saw that evening,
