Various bills regarding the control of firearms are poised for final passage and may head to
the Governor\’s desk. Unfortunately, in the view of many of those with a knowledge of both New Jersey\’s strict firearm laws, and causes of gun related crimes, most of these proposed bills lack substance.
Occasionally, I publish my own opinions regarding topics of importance to NJ outdoorsmen and women. These opinions are formulated by using my involvement in, and knowledge of, certain issues.
Given that proposed legislation may soon be sent to the Governor for consideration, I\’d like to repeat my proposal for substantive firearm control, while respecting Second Amendment rights. The following is my personal opinion and does not reflect that of the NJOA, its members, associates or affiliates.
