BELIEVE IT OR NOT! A WHITE-TAIL DEER TOOK A STROLL TODAY ALONG HUNTER STREET

GLOUCESTER CITY NJ–Jo Yourison, of Hunter Street took the above photo earlier today. She writes, \”This morning while having coffee on our porch this deer decided to show up. It hung around the 700 block of Hunter Street for a while. Then traveled around to 8th & Division Streets where he/she jumped into the Methodist Church yard and relaxed a bit before taking off across Broadway.\”

We have had serveral reports about the two baby fawns living in the woods behind the homes on Sherwood Avenue. Somedays, early in the morning, while driving on Market Street heading towards Route 130, you can see them feeding in the open. So be careful of the deer when you are driving on that stretch of road. And with this latest sighting, it appears too we should also be alert for deer when driving in the inner-city of Gloucester City.
