Mr. Richard W. \”Rick\” Crawford of Deptford, Retired DCMA Employee, Gateway HS Alumnus

Richard Wayne Crawford, \”Rick\”, aged 61 years of Deptford, passed away suddenly on January 8, 2015\"\"

Born to Edward and Violet Crawford; Rick was the fourth of six children. He graduated from Gateway High School and shortly thereafter joined the United States Army. Rick served two years and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Sharpshooter M16 Medal.

Following his service time; Rick began his civilian career with the Department of Defense initially with the Naval Shipyard and then more recently with the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) in Philadelphia where he retired after 33 years of service.

Away from his work, Rick enjoyed living life to the fullest; creating fantastic memories with his family and being the happy go lucky guy with the great sense of humor that his family will cherish as his legacy. He enjoyed golfing and fishing among his hobbies and Rick was also an avid Football and Baseball fan who cheered on his beloved Eagles and Phillies through the good years and bad.
