ATCO NJ–Nestled in the Atco section of Waterford Township in the lower part of Camden County is the merged parish of Christ the Redeemer. It has nearly 2,800 parishioners.

Moving to Atco opened my eyes to the displacement many Catholics experienced through the long merger process. The Atco community and Assumption Church were not new to me. I worked in town for more than 10 years and I was married in Assumption Church. I know a lot of townspeople and parishioners and they shared their feelings and personal stories regarding the merger process.

RUNNEMEDE NJ–The pictured male and female utilized a stolen credit card at the Wawa Store on the Black Horse Pike in Runnemede after 3 AM Sunday 2-8-2015. The owner of the credit card was the victim of a robbery and aggravated assault that took place at Skeeter\’s Pub in the Blenheim Section of Gloucester Township approximately one hour prior. ICE dismantles major transnational drug trafficking, money laundering organization

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Nineteen alleged members of a major international drug trafficking $\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef0192ac2440c7970d-200wi\"$ and money laundering organization responsible for the importation of multi-kilogram quantities of cocaine into the United States and the laundering of millions of dollars were arrested Thursday in Colombia, Puerto Rico and Florida. Dubbed \”Bullfighter,\” the joint investigation was led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Homeland Security Investigations (HSI).

On Dec. 4, 2014, a federal grand jury in the District of Puerto Rico returned a 23-count indictment charging 29 individuals with numerous violations of federal narcotics and money laundering laws. The charges include conspiracy to import controlled substances, conspiracy to possess controlled substances, conspiracy to launder monetary instruments and substantive counts of money laundering and international money laundering. The indictment also contains a forfeiture allegation for the proceeds obtained as a result of the organization’s illegal activities.

Former Philadelphia Police Officer Pleads Guilty To Extortion Scheme

PHILADELPHIA – Christopher Saravello, 37, of Philadelphia, PA, pleaded guilty today, to a scheme to extort drugs and money from drug dealers and drug buyers while working as a Philadelphia Police Officer. He was charged with one count of conspiracy to commit Hobbs Act extortion and five counts of Hobbs Act extortion.

The gatherings are part of the worldwide preparation for the world Synod of Bishops to be held Oct. 4-25 at the Vatican.

The Synod will focus with the theme, \”The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World.\” It follows the extraordinary synod on the family in October 2014, which Pope Francis said was designed to present an overview of the situation of families and the primary concerns for the church\’s pastoral care of families.

$\"Natural$ Defendants violated state law by using bait to attract bears

U.S. Magistrate Judge Timothy J. Sullivan Wednesday sentenced Larry Eugene Harding, 57, of Friendsville, and Wallace A. Harward, 58, of Forest Hill, to pay a fine and restitution totaling $8,000 and $5,000, respectively, after the defendants pleaded guilty to violating Maryland black bear hunting regulations.

In addition, Magistrate Judge Sullivan sentenced Harding and Harward to five years of probation and ordered each to perform 25 hours of community service for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. During their probation, Harding and Harward are precluded from any guiding activity involving commercial hunting, and are precluded from personally hunting for three years.
