Scranton, PA (MARCH 2, 2015) CNBNews–Today, U.S. Marshal Martin Pane announced the arrest of Demetrius Franklin, a 36-year old man on charges of rape and other related offenses.
On February 28, 2015, the Scranton Police Department obtained an arrest warrant charging Franklin with rape by force, statutory sexual assault, unlawful contact with a minor and corruption of a minor. The Scranton Police Department requested the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) Fugitive Task Force to locate and apprehend him.
On March 2, 2015, members of the USMS Fugitive Task Force arrested Franklin who was found hiding in an attic of a residence located in the 1400 block of Capouse Ave in Scranton. He was turned over to local authorities pending judicial proceedings in the case.
