FIVE RESCUED AFTER BEING STRANDED AT SEA FOR FOUR DAYS NEAR KIRIBATI

HONOLULU — Five men are safe, Saturday, after being after being stranded at sea in a 14-foot skiff since Wednesday.

The men were rescued by the crew of the motor vessel, Shourong Harmony after an HC-130 Hercules air crew from Coast Guard Air Station Barbers Point spotted the 14-foot aluminum skiff while searching, 184 miles east northeast of Teraina Island, Kiribati.

JULY 8, 2015TRENTON – Acting Attorney General John J. Hoffman announced that a North Carolina man was indicted today on charges that he brought millions of dollars in counterfeit poker chips to Atlantic City to use in a poker tournament at The Borgata Casino. The scheme was discovered after he allegedly clogged a pipe at the Harrah’s Casino Hotel by flushing hundreds of chips down the toilet in his room.

Oklahoma Governor Refuses to Remove 10 Commandments Monument From Capitol

Although the Oklahoma Supreme Court ruled last month that the state Capitol’s Ten Commandments monument must be removed from the Capitol grounds, Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin said on Tuesday the monument will remain intact.

Attorney General Scott Pruitt has requested the state Supreme Court rehear the case. Immediately after the initial court ruling last month, both Fallin and Pruitt made it clear they would request a rehearing and attempt to overturn the verdict.

Heroin Supplier And Crack-Cocaine Distributor For The Grape Street Crips Gang Both Plead Guilty

NEWARK, N.J. (JULY 9, 2015)– Two drug suppliers for the Grape Street Crips street gang today admitted distributing large quantities of heroin and crack-cocaine in and around Newark, New Jersey, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced today.

Toma Williams, a/k/a \”T-Dubbs,\” 38, and Jihad Coles, a/k/a \”Half Dead,\” 30, both of Newark, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judges Madeline Cox Arleo and Esther Salas, respectively, in Newark federal court. Williams pleaded guilty today to an information charging him with one count of conspiracy to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin and one count of using a firearm in furtherance of a drug-trafficking crime. Coles pleaded guilty on July 8, 2015 to a separate information charging him with one count of conspiracy to distribute 280 grams or more of crack-cocaine.
