Two of the Honorees, Joe Murphy and Maryanna Watson Barr have connections to Gloucester City

Ten of the this year’s 14 inductees in the Camden County Sports Hall of Fame were legendary coaches who will be honored at a dinner on Friday, Oct. 30, at Lucien’s Restaurant in Berlin Township.

\”It’s fitting to honor coaches for they are great mentors for young people,\” said Freeholder Jeffrey L. Nash, a co-founder of the Hall of Fame in 2005.

Former Glassboro Public Works Employee Sentenced to 16 Years for Child Sexual Assault

WOODBURY NJ–Raymond J. Martin (6/2/66), of Glassboro, was sentenced today (7/10) to 16 years in New Jersey state prison for his conviction in the sexual assault of a four-year-old boy who was enrolled in a day care center Martin’s wife operated in the couple’s home in 2011.

In a retrial, a jury on 4/15/15 found Martin guilty of first-degree sexual assault and third degree endangering the welfare of a child. Another jury was unable to reach a verdict on the charges in January 2014.

He was appointed by President Obama and retained a position with the Department of Homeland Security Council until he was sent packing after some unfortunate turns of events regarding things like the Muslim Brotherhood, tweeting that the return of Sharia law is inevitable, and getting caught borrowing classified materials and downloading them to his own computer. Even though he is gone from DHS, he’s still keeping a grip on America!

Let no one mistake what is being said here, and what this controversy is about, as the former advisor spells out the point very simply. It’s not about the flag, but about federal control.

Anyone else sensing a trend these days, with the recent Supreme Court decision to force gay marriage on all 50 states and now this? (Never mind the small detail that it was, in this case, the state legislature that voted to remove the flag; Elibiary, nonetheless, points to a dangerous momentum sweeping our nation.)

Tom was a graduate of Gloucester Catholic High School class of 1950. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy. Tom was the owner and operator of Porch & Robb Plumbing and Heating in Gloucester City, where he also served as the Plumbing Inspector for many years. He was a longtime member of the Gloucester City Lions Club and the Gloucester City Senior Citizens Association.

Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday morning, July 11, 2015 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the McCANN-HEALEY FUNERAL HOME: 851 Monmouth St., Gloucester City.
