Depression is a dangerous, yet easily treated disease. When diagnosed properly, depression can be managed with medication, therapy, or a number of other treatments. Sadly, the number of people with undiagnosed depression is astounding. New Jersey alone, suicide is the third leading cause of death of people ages 10 to 24. The suicide rate amongst veterans is about 30 per each 100,000. Suicide is a continuously growing problem amongst many people from many different backgrounds.

Obituary: Marie Stella Mealey of Gloucester City

Marie Stella Mealey

of Gloucester City, formerly of National Park Age 81years, daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth Campbell. Marie will be reunited with her husband Robert D. Mealey who was taken by the Lord early in life. Marie was surrounded by the people who loved her. She was a devoted mother to Robert Mealey, Jr. (Deborah) (Mealey’s Pub) and Lynn Mealey Stinsman (Dennis). Loving grandmother of James Mealey (Shelley), Dennis Stinsman III (Nicole), Marc Stinsman (Tammy), great grandmother of McKenna, Gage, Bryce Mealey and Colin and Carter Stinsman and her baby Bandit. Marie was predeceased by her brother Harry Campbell (Joan) and Ruth Wenner (Bill) and is survived by her dear sister and friend Joan Wright (Ed).

Marie was a very reserved quiet woman who loved shopping, the Casino’s and the Ocean City Beach. She will be sadly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to meet Wednesday from 10:00am to 12:00 noon at the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ. A Catholic prayer service will be held 12:00 noon at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. There will be no evening viewing. In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorial donations in Marie’s name be made to Alzheimer’s Assoc. Envelopes will be provided at the Funeral Home or donations may be made online at www.alz.org. via www.creranfh.com

On July 3, 2015 of Audubon Park, NJ. Age 59 yrs. Loving mother of John Merryfield III and Joseph Merryfield (Kristin). Cherished grandmother of Jacob and Josh, beloved daughter of Mary Ann Zelazny and dear sister of William and Thomas Holton. Debbie was a very caring person who always enjoyed the company of her friends. Relatives and friends are invited to meet Friday morning from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the CRERAN FUNERAL HOME 400 White Horse Pike, Oaklyn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00pm at St. Rose of Lima RC Church, Kings Highway and 4th Ave. in Haddon Heights. Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
