Bill Donohue comments on some appalling invitations to the pope\’s White House visit:
It is so fitting that the least friendly administration to religion in history would invite a collection of pro-abortion nuns, Catholic gay activists, assorted dissidents and religious rebels to attend Pope Francis\’ visit to the White House September 23.
These include gay Catholic blogger Aaron Ledesma; Catholic gay activist and Church critic Nicholas Coppola; and Sister Jeannine Gramick, co-founder of the Catholic dissident group New Ways Ministry, who in 1999 was barred by the Vatican from working in ministry to homosexuals. Coppola and Gramick were both invited by GLAAD, which says the White House invited it and LGBT leaders to attend.

On September 9, 2015, of Gloucester City, NJ, age 66. He is the beloved husband of Linda L. (nee Rennles), loving father of Michelle L. Pollander (Eric) and William F. Viereck III (Linda). He is also survived by his dear grandchildren Morgan, Paige, Erin, Billy and great granddaughter Scarlett.
Bill had worked as an engraver and shop manager for Nash Engraving in Gloucester City. He was also a long time member of Rollin Rods of SJ.
Funeral services were under the direction of the ETHERINGTON-CRERAN FUNERAL HOME, 700 POWELL ST., GLOUCESTER CITY, NJ.
Interment was private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers the family has requested Memorial Donations be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 via www.creranfh.com

Patrick was the youngest of 7 siblings. He is survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Patrick proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a lifelong proprietor for local businesses in South Jersey, most recently the former Pete’s Cafe.
There will be a viewing from 9:15 to 10:15am on Tuesday, September 22, 2015, at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Funeral Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa’s RC Church, Runnemede.
Interment private at the request of the family.

Ann M. Korpan (nee Crowley), on September 12, 2015, of Runnemede. Age 84.
Beloved wife of the late Peter Korpan. Devoted mother of John (Jolene) of California and Robert of New Jersey. Loving grandmom of Grace Torok (Brian), Jeanette Luckmann (Michael), and Marissa Korpan. Dear sister of Patricia Kaminski, Karen O’Brien, James Crowley (Patricia), and Wilmer Crowley. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ann worked as a librarian for the Runnemede Library, a volunteer tax assistant for AARP, and a kindergarten aide. She enjoyed genealogy and was a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors Chapter #142.

NEWARK, N.J. – A Bayonne, New Jersey, man was sentenced today to 15 months in prison for conspiring with a criminal enterprise that engaged in illegal sports betting in New Jersey and elsewhere, U.S. Attorney Paul J. Fishman announced.
Mark A. Sanzo, 57, previously pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Claire C. Cecchi to an information charging him with one count of racketeering conspiracy. Judge Cecchi imposed the sentence today in Newark federal court.

Deputy Sheriff Dwight Maness succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained 11 months earlier after being ambushed while en route to a domestic disturbance at a home in Holiday Hills.
He and two other deputies had gone to the home in the 1300 block of Northeast Shore Drive after a friend of the subject\’s wife called to request a welfare check. The subject answered the door and stated he did not need any assistance. He invited the deputies into the home and then immediately opened fire on them with an AR-15 rifle.

Bill Donohue comments on groups trying to limit public access to Pope Francis:
Poll after poll shows that Pope Francis is universally popular these days, with millions of Americans—of all religions or no religion—clamoring for an opportunity to welcome him when he arrives on our shores next week. Two groups—the Freedom from Religion Foundation (FFRF) and Americans United for Separation of Church and State—are predictably unhappy about that, and doing all they can to limit the public\’s access to the pope.
