Virtua Health and POWER 99 FM will host a free health festival on Saturday, May 9, in Camden.
The “We
Health Fest” will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. at Virtua Primary Care – Camden, located at the Oliver Station community at 1800 Davis Street. The building is next to the Ferry Avenue stop of the Patco Hi-Speedline.

POWER 99 personalities Roxy Romeo and DJ Doc B will play music, emcee, and give away prizes. Other festivities will include children’s face-painting and activities, and special gifts for moms to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend.
Virtua staff members will provide free preventive health screenings for adults, as well as free vision screenings for adults and kids. Children under age 6 and pregnant or lactating people can receive free lead screenings.
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy an afternoon of music, fun, prizes, refreshments, and good health!” said Dr. Mithil Choksey, lead physician at Virtua Primary Care – Camden at Oliver Station. “We’re excited to give back to our community in this way, and to help area residents and families be well, get well, and stay well.”

Guests will be able to speak with a wide range of medical experts about their health needs, from primary care to home care, pregnancy to children’s health, cardiology to digestive care, transplant services to behavioral and social supports.
Doctors, nurses, and specialists from nearby Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital will also be on hand to meet with guests. The hospital, which has served South Jersey for 75 years, is Virtua Health’s hub for advanced care, including stroke treatment, cardiovascular procedures, organ transplantation, and maternity services.
Additionally, Virtua will provide tours of its primary care offices at Oliver Station, which are located next to the building’s residential side. Virtua Primary Care – Camden at Oliver Station is open to the public and serves adults ages 18 and over.

The We
Health Fest will be held rain or shine, with the exception of very severe weather. It will take place partly under a covered roof, and health screenings will be provided indoors.
