Camden County Roadwork Projects

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of July 6 to July 10. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

·       Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights.

·       PSE&G will be working on 241 Crystal Lake Avenue on Wednesday, July 8, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Prospect Avenue & Hopkins Road.

Berlin Township

Crews will be working on Cooper Road on Thursday, July 9 and Friday, July 10, from 7:00 p.m. (Thursday) to 7:00 a.m. (Friday). There will be a moving operation using full road closures between Forrest Hills Drive and Hopewell Road.

Camden

·       Crews will be working on Market Street and Federal Street from Monday, July 6, to Thursday, July 9, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. On Monday and Tuesday, there will be a lane shift on Market Street at the intersections with Haddon Avenue. On Wednesday and Thursday, there will be a lane shift on Federal Street at the intersection with Haddon Avenue.

·       Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.

·       Crews will be working on Kaighn Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a lane shift between South 8th Street and South 7th Street. 

·       Crews will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. There be a full road closure between Chestnut Street and the Kaighn Avenue/South 4th Street intersection.

·       Crews will be working on 1010 East State Street on Monday July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Wayne Avenue and River Avenue.

·       Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Newton Avenue and Euclid Avenue, as well as lane closures between Spruce Street and Mt. Vernon Street. 

·       PSE&G will be working on 1462 Kaighn Avenue on Tuesday, July 7, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Park Boulevard & Baird Boulevard. 

Cherry Hill

·       Crews will be working on Kenilworth Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Route 38 and Helena Avenue. 

·       Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 6, to Thursday, July 9, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Springdale Road and Ravenswood Way. 

·       Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Springdale Road and Cropwell Road. 

Gibbsboro

Crews will be working on United States Avenue and Foster Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South and Berlin Road, and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue and Clementon Road.

Gloucester Township

·       Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be an eastbound partial road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township. 

·       New Jersey American Water will be working on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township. 

Haddon Heights

Crews will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between East Merchant Street in Audubon and Station Avenue in Haddon Heights. 

Oaklyn

PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue and West Clinton Avenue on Tuesday, July 7, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure at the intersection. 

Runnemede

·       Crews will be working on Evesham Road and Schubert Avenue on Wednesday, July 8, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure on Schubert Avenue between Harding Avenue and Clements Bridge Road.

·       Crews will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Schubert Avenue and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township.

·       New Jersey American Water will be working on Evesham Road on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede and Black Horse Pike in Gloucester Township. 

Winslow Township

Crews will be working on Sicklerville Road on Monday, July 6, to Friday, July 10, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a 24/7 full road closure between Andrews Road and Erial Road.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
