The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 21-year-old Jahylin Melchur, who is wanted in connection with two homicides and one non-fatal shooting.
Melchur is wanted for the following incidents:
- The fatal shooting of 45-year-old Martin Higgins, which occurred on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at approximately 10:04 p.m. in the 900 block of W. Hunting Park Avenue.
- The fatal shooting of 29-year-old Sharef Holman, which occurred on Friday, June 26, 2026, at approximately 10:55 p.m. in the 1200 block of W. Hunting Park Avenue.
- The non-fatal shooting of a 55-year-old male that occurred on Friday, May 29, 2026, at approximately 9:50 p.m. in the 1000 block of Lycoming Street.
The Homicide Unit is actively investigating these incidents and is asking anyone with information regarding Jahylin Melchur’s whereabouts to come forward.
