Summer parties and backyard BBQs are around the corner. As you get an influx of RSVPs, ensure you are using the best #watersafety practices during this pool party season! 
Here are a few friendly reminders for you to keep in mind while hosting a summer pool party:
1. Ensure ALL gates/doors are latched/locked when the pool is not in use.
2. Strictly enforce pool rules, especially the 5 Layers of Protection.
3. Designate Water Watchers and rotate every 15 minutes to keep a fresh pair of eyes on those in and near the pool.
4. Provide Life Jackets for inexperienced swimmers when around water, and know that Lifejackets do not replace proper supervision or learning to swim.
5. Have an Emergency Plan in place, keep a posted sign with your property address on it, and inform all guests of the protocol.
6. Pair children up and enforce a buddy rule system when swimming.
