Letters: Imagine You\’re A Service member in Afghanistan And Served With Eminent Domain Papers in New Jersey

My husband is a VFW member, a DAV member and a Service member currently deployed to Afghanistan

How does a Service member who\’s entire energy is devoted to the defense needs of our nation in Afghanistan learn that his ancestral land is being taken for BP Oil\’s economic benefit by eminent domain in New Je\"6a00d8341bf7d953ef011570924c58970b-200wi\"rsey?

The first week of April 2010, my husband LTC George A. Gallenthin III deployed to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom and on April 24th, eminent domain papers arrived at our home. I notified my husband by email that his land was being taken.

Imagine that LTC Gallenthin thought his land ownership was safe after legally defending another GCIA-funded scheme for BP Oil over six+ years and winning 7-0 before New Jersey\’s Supreme Court. (see attached Gallenthin v. Paulsboro (191 NJ 344 (2007)).
