Press Release:
On Monday, January 17, 2011 Saint Mary School students went to school in Honor of Dr. Martin Luther King to make soup! This is a day of service for SMS. The faculty, parents, students, and alumni helped prepare homemade chicken noodle soup and goodie bags of rolls, cookies, and mints. The students and the chaperones then got on busses and delivered the soup and goodies to senior citizens in our community and to the police and fire departments that serve us everyday!
The students were able to spend time talking with our great seniors. The students also went to The New Visions Homeless Day Shelter in Camden and delivered over 200 homemade chicken noodle soup containers. This is one more example of our great Catholic School here in Gloucester City.
