(Woodbury) – Two contracts that will continue to move the Paulsboro Marine Terminal (Port of Paulsboro) project ahead were awarded today by the Gloucester County Improvement Authority.
A $15.7 million contract was awarded to AP Construction of Blackwood, NJ for the construction of an access road and overpass bridge that will directly connect the port to I-295, and a $48 million contract was awarded to Weeks Marine of Cranford, NJ for the bulkhead, dredging and sub-grade preparation activities for the future port were approved.
\”The Port of Paulsboro is moving forward. The access road and bridge will keep large trucks and equipment off the streets of our neighborhoods so the community is not impacted by the operations of the port,\” said Freeholder Director Stephen M. Sweeney.
