August 12, 2011 – Pennsauken Township is proposing ordinance 2011:18 to
severely restrict video and audio recording of public meetings. After referencing the precedent setting judgment of Tarus vs Pine Hill Borough (2007) the ordinance completely disregards the Court\’s findings that reasonable guidelines may be imposed.
The timing of this ordinance coincides with the recent taping of public meetings by the Pennsauken Republican Club for our website because the committeemen refuse to record them for the Township\’s public access channel and/or township website.
