In San Francisco, the most controversial public issue at the moment is whether men—make that homosexual men—who parade around the city naked should be required to put a towel under their bottoms when they sit down on public benches or in restaurants (yes, these boys are legally allowed to swallow clams at Fisherman\’s Wharf in the nude, sitting next to families).
