Former Explorer TJ Chism Named South Atlantic League All-Star

PHILADELPHIA – Former La Salle pitcher TJ Chism, currently a member of the Savannah Sand Gnats in the New York Mets organization, has been named to the South Atlantic League Southern Division All-Star team. The SAL All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, June 19 at 7:30 PM at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Ballpark, home of Class A Charleston RiverDogs.

Chism has 12 saves and a 3.38 ERA while serving as the Sand Gnats closer. He has appeared in 24 games, all in relief, while throwing 26.1 innings. The southpaw has struck out 24 batters and walked 11. Opponents are batting .242 against him.
