Nicholas F. Marchese, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on June 14, 2012, of Blackwood, formerly of Bellmawr & Camden. Age 84. He is the father of Gloucester City Councilman Nick Marchese.
Beloved husband of the late Aileen (Kelly). Devoted father of Karen Cornell (George), Linda Collaretti (and the late John),Nancy Albright (John), Nicholas Marchese, Jr. (Janice), Steven Marchese, Terry O’Hanlon and Michael Marchese (Beth). Loving grandfather of Lisa Davis (Jeff), Nicole Graffius (Jason), Shannon O’Hanlon, Matthew Collaretti, Andrew Collaretti, Kristin Marchese, Christopher Albright, Toni Albright, Lauren Marchese, Patrick O’Hanlon, Kevin O’Hanlon, Caitlin O’Hanlon, Isabella Marchese and Jacob Marchese. Dear great grandfather of Victoria Graffius, Alexandria Graffius, Waverly Davis and Olivia Collaretti. Loving brother of Anthony Saracino.
Nicholas proudly served in the US Army during WWII. He was an amateur boxer and the sole proprietor of Atlas Exterminator. He was the owner and operator of MAR-K-Z Fruit, Produce and Seafood and he was an avid casino goer. Nicholas was a member of the Brooklawn American Legion Post 72.
In lieu of flowers the family requests the donations be made in Nicholas’ memory to Vitas Innovative Hospice Care, 18 E. Laurel Road, Stratford, NJ 08084.
