Sandy (a hurricane/nor’easter combo) hit the Jersey Shore October 29, but thankfully the Borough of Mount Ephraim escaped with very minimal damage.

After attending a meeting of emergency personnel the day before Sandy made landfall, Mayor Joseph Wolk said he knew the town was in good hands, and that whatever needed to get done would get done.

The Mayor said that the Police Department, Fire Department, Public Works Department, MEPRI and the Office of Emergency Management did an excellent job organizing before the storm.
