CNBNEWS.net received a number of comments yesterday, (March 11, 2013) on the article Gloucester High\’s Stefano Okoro Among an Elite Group of Basketball Players.

Some of the people suggested that the basketball coach, Kevin Hagan scheduled an extra game so Stefano could break the school record for most points. Okoro scored a total of 2,128 points during his four years playing basketball at Gloucester City High School. The comments, some of which were disparaging, were closed so more facts could be gathered.

We contacted School Superintendent Joseph Rafferty (photo) for an explanation. Rafferty stated,\"ED_md-yho54k2OPNx1R-GyJnKc8obTSz3ABIMbEystyiZGcELXA3aQVxfPxqCklr8klBfw=s85\"

\”The boys basketball team played the allowable number of games by the State of New Jersey, which is 26 games.

\”The boys season started with a 24 games schedule. There were two additional games added, which included St.Joseph in Hammonton and West Deptford. This brought the team up to the allowable limit. The boys did not play Highland due to a snow day cancellation.\”
