Recently, Wellpoint NJ hosted a Community Baby Shower in partnership with Connecting NJ and The Cooperative. Welcoming expectant parents, families, and community members, this gathering, hosted in Camden at First Nazareth Baptist Church, brought together dozens of mothers, demonstrating the strong need for maternal and family support resources across South Jersey.
Supported by Wellpoint New Jersey, the event brought growing families together for an afternoon of celebration and connection. Guests connected with local organizations, accessed maternal health information, and received essential resources to support healthy pregnancies and the journey into parenthood. Through partnerships like these, Wellpoint New Jersey continues to invest in community-based efforts that expand access to care, strengthen family support networks, and promote healthier outcomes for New Jersey families.
No disrespect but the Camden Neighborhood Center located on Kaighn Ave has been having a Community Baby Shower for years. They also feed the homeless, have a clothing ministry and a summer camp for the kids. They have a garden and give families the opportunity to get fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a food give away. I’m sure they are a Non Profit organization doing and helping out families in need.
