SAINT JOSEPH’S MEN’S SOCCER FALLS TO RIDER, 3-1/cnbnews

LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J. – The Saint Joseph’s men’s soccer team fell to Rider, 3-1, on Tuesday evening. at Ben Cohen Field. With the loss, the Hawks stand at 0-1-1 after their first two early- season matches.

Tied 1-1 early in the 28th minute of action, Rider’s Christian Flath dished a pass to Sonimi Halliday for the Broncs’ second goal, off of the set piece. After an SJU yellow card in the 75th minute, Flath would convert his penalty kick for his second goal of the match to extend Rider’s lead and eventual final score, 3-1.
