WOODBURY NJ–Carlos Calderon (DOB 10/16/83), of Deptford NJ, was arrested and charged Wednesday (2/11) with sexually assaulting a girl under age 13 in Deptford on various dates in 2014.
Following an investigation by the Major Crimes Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office, Calderon, a restaurant worker from Guatemala, was arrested by GCPO officers in Woodbury. He is being held in default of $800,000 bail.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Service was notified of Calderon’s immigration status,. The New York embassy of Guatemala was notified of his arrest.
Calderon is charged with three counts of sexual assault; three counts of criminal sexual contact and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven otherwise.
