(Camden, NJ) June 6,2015 – Officers responding to a call about a person with a gun Thursday night were able to de-escalate a potentially volatile situation and get an armed suspect to surrender without incident.
Around 9:50 p.m., Officer George Lewis III responded to a home on the 1400 block of Ormond Avenue to investigate a domestic dispute in which a suspect had threatened two victims with a gun. Officer Lewis and assisting officers, including Lieutenants William Wiley and Zsakhiem James and Sergeants Brandon Kersey, Terrell Watkins, Migdalia Sanchez and Madrid Matthews and Detectives Brenda Santiago and Anson Simmons, were able to quickly get other occupants of the home to safely exit the premises.
