Route 70 westbound ramp to McClellan Avenue single lane closures tomorrow night in Pennsauken, Camden County Lane closures on Route 70 in both directions in Cherry Hill
(Trenton) – The Route 70 westbound ramp to McClellan Avenue is scheduled to have lane closures tomorrow night in Pennsauken, Camden County, as the Route 70 corridor safety and improvement project advances. In addition, the right lane on Route 70 eastbound and westbound are scheduled to be closed between I-295 and Springdale Road/CR 673 beginning tomorrow night and continuing for the next several months in Cherry Hill.
Beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, October 16 until 6 a.m. Friday, October 17, single lane closures are scheduled on the Route 70 westbound ramp to McClellan Avenue. The lane closures are expected to begin in the right lane and move to the left as work progresses. The closures are necessary to restripe the ramp and intersection, restoring two lanes of traffic. At least one lane will remain open overnight.

In addition, beginning at 8 p.m. tomorrow, Thursday, October 16 and continuing through spring 2026, the right lane on Route 70 eastbound and westbound is scheduled to be closed from I-295 to Springdale Road/CR 673. The lane closures are necessary to install drainage. At least three lanes are expected to remain open during construction.
Motorists are advised to slow down, use caution and expect delays when driving through the work zones.
The work is part of a $153 million state-funded Route 70 corridor safety and improvement project that will improve gas and watermains, upgrade traffic signals at 27 intersections, replace or install four Dynamic Message Signs, improve drainage, sidewalks, and resurface approximately 9 miles of Route 70 between Route 38 in Cherry Hill and Cooper Avenue in Evesham.
In addition to milling and paving Route 70, the North Maple Avenue loop ramps and the Route 70/Route 73 interchange ramps will be repaved as well. The project is expected to be completed by spring 2026. The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors.
