
(Lindenwold, NJ) – Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of December 29 to January 2.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Berlin Township
South Jersey Gas will be working on Cooper Road from Monday, Dec. 29 to Wednesday, Dec. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Cushman Avenue & Hopewell Road.
Camden
- PSE&G will be working on Ferry Avenue on Monday, Dec. 29 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between South 8th Street & Phillips Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street and River Avenue from Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 2 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Federal Street between River Avenue & 16th Street and a full road closure of River Avenue between East State Street & Federal Street.
Collingswood
PSE&G will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 2 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.
Winslow Township
Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road from Monday, Dec. 29 through Wednesday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 2 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Old Albertson Road & the Atlantic County Line.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
