Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of January 26 to January 30.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Berlin Township
South Jersey Gas will be working on Hopewell Road and Cooper Road from Tuesday, Jan. 27 to Thursday, Jan. 29 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a full road closure of Hopewell Road between Cooper Road & Jackson Road in Waterford Township and a full road closure of Cooper Road between Cushman Avenue & Hopewell Road in Berlin Township.
Camden
- PSE&G will be working on Terrace Avenue on Monday, Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Fremont Avene in Camden & Highland Avenue in Pennsauken.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street & River Avenue from Monday, Jan. 26 to Friday, Jan. 30 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a lane shift on Federal Street between River Avenue & 16th Street and a full road closure of River Avenue between East State Street & Federal Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Wednesday, Jan. 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 18th Street & South 19th Street.
Pennsauken
- PSE&G will be working on Terrace Avenue on Monday, Jan. 26 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Fremont Avene in Camden & Highland Avenue in Pennsauken.
- Crews will be working on River Road from Tuesday, Jan. 27 to Friday, Jan. 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between 49th Street & North 36th Street.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, Jan. 26 to Friday, Jan. 30 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road.
Waterford Township

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
