Our beloved mother, Angel Zimmer, born on January 14, 1957, passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in the early morning hours of March 1st. She was a cherished daughter, beloved sister, loving mother, and devoted grandmother.
Growing up in a bustling household with four brothers and numerous cousins, Angel was nurtured in a family environment that shaped her warm, giving spirit. She and her husband relocated their young family to Mechanicsburg, seeking a brighter future, and it was there that they created countless joyful memories with their children, sharing lazy summer days at the community pool and engaging in spirited games of taboo & password.
Angel’s heart was her greatest gift; she was known for her capacity to share love with everyone around her. Life with her was filled with joyful chaos, yet she ensured that her family always felt cherished. On her 50th birthday, she embraced the beautiful role of grandmother for the first time. Soon after many more grandkids were added to her life. This is where her love blossomed even further. “Gram” was a constant source of excitement, ready for a game of Monopoly or a 3-marker challenge, and her grandchildren adored her deeply.
Throughout her courageous battle with cancer, Angel exhibited a fierce yet gentle strength. She faced each appointment with grace and gratitude, always appreciating the supportive friends and family who stood by her side. She fought valiantly until her body could no longer endure, demonstrating unwavering determination and love.
Angel now rests peacefully in the arms of the Lord, reunited with her children’s father, her mother, and her siblings and lots of close friends. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and cherished memories that will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew her.
A celebration of her life will be held to honor her remarkable journey and the indelible impact she had on everyone she met.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Angel’s Catholic Service on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 1pm at Mount Laurel Home For Funerals: 212 Ark Road, Mount Laurel Township, NJ 08054. There will be No Visitation prior to service. Cremation private. Immediately Following the service, all are invited to the Moorestown Field Club: 629 Chester Avenue, Moorestown, NJ 08057 for a Celebration of Angel’s Life.
