In the loving care of her family, Edna passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, at the age of 88. Of Philadelphia, PA. Formerly of Lindenwold, NJ. Loving wife of the late Duane W. Beard. Cherished daughter of the late William Roberts and the late Barbara Jane Dougherty. Loving mother of the late Vincent Michael, the late Kelvin Devon, Angela Wilson, Brenda Foster and Linda Beard. Cherished grandmother of Hakeem Womack, Anthony Beard, Sonia Wilson, Darren Beard, Rhonda Womack, Teraya Beard, Bryson Womack, Romeo Roberts, Brittany Roberts, Deshay Walker and great-grandmother of C’ilah Womack, Troy Park, Manuel Rivera, Siani Rivera, Destiny Brinkley, Amaalah Roberts, Aleem Roberts, Samir Roberts, Saniya Roberts, Sahaan Roberts, Nova Roberts, Bella Roberts, Zoey ‘Cupcake’ Beard, Amore’ ‘Cookie’ Beard, Zycore Womack, Nyla Womack, Brylee Womack, Elisa Womack, Ashanti Womack and Haa’Zen Womack
Predeceased by her brothers, Melvin Roberts and Oren Roberts and survived by her sister, Jeanette Muhammad. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and so many friends.
Edna was born in Kingston, NC to the late William and Barbara Roberts. She loved poetry and sewing. Edna was a long-time member of First Presbyterian Church of Germantown in Philadelphia.
