Women Owned Businesses in Manayunk to Hold Month-Long Wingwomen Collection Drive

* Drop off essential menstrual and postpatrum donations for Grab-N-Flow through the end of March in this celebrated program that is back for the fifth year in a row  *

Philadelphia, PA – In honor of Women’s History Month, twenty-eight female-owned and led businesses in Manayunk have teamed up to help support women in the community. The 5th Annual Manayunk Wingwomen Program invites neighbors, visitors, friends, customers and clients to donate essential items for prenatal and postnatal parents and menstrual health and wellness. Items can be brought to participating business locations on Main Street through March 31, 2026.

All collected items will be donated to Grab-N-Flow, which stocks no charge-to-the-community menstrual and postpartum product sheds that are open to those in need and are located throughout Philadelphia. For those that want to make a monetary online, Manayunk Wingwomen is also supporting Woman Against Abuse, Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence advocate and service provider, and one of the largest domestic violence agencies in the country. Everyone that donated this year will receive a  Manayunk Wingwomen vinyl sticker as a special thank you. New this year, the initiative is adding a 5th shed in partnership with North Light Community Center to support a local community shed right in Manayunk! Donations collected for this location will be distributed directly to women in the surrounding neighborhood who are in need, ensuring support stays within the community. The shed will officially launch in April, with details on a community ribbon-cutting celebration to be announced soon. For more about Manayunk Wingwomen, visit: manayunk.com/media/blog/

“Celebrating our fifth year we wanted to continue to grow our efforts and outreach and so I’m especially excited about the new supply shed being added right here in our own community,” said Manayunk Wingwomen Founder and The Little Apple Owner Brandy Deieso.

“We’re so grateful to be working with North Light to establish a shed for their center and community. We’re excited to grow our efforts in providing neighbors with these essential products,” said Grab N Flow Founder Shelly Aragoncillo.

“North Light Community Center is proud to partner with Wingwomen to launch Grab and Flow, a program rooted in dignity, access, and community care. While we are able to provide food to many families, essential hygiene products and diapers are often harder to secure. This initiative helps close that gap by allowing neighbors to give and receive support anonymously and without barriers. Together, we are creating a space where basic needs are met with compassion and respect,” said North Light Community Center Executive Director Kimberly Arroyo.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Manayunk’s women-owned businesses have teamed up once again as The Manayunk Wingwomen to support women in the Philadelphia community. The program launches on International Women’s Day and conintues throughout Women’s History Month.

Throughout the month of March, participating businesses will collect essential items for prenatal and postnatal parents, as well as menstrual health and wellness supplies. These items are often costly and out of reach for many women despite being basic necessities. Customers, clients, and community members are encouraged to donate and help make a difference. As a thank you, donors will receive a custom “Manayunk Wingwomen” vinyl sticker with each contribution.

All collected supplies will benefit Grab-N-Flow, which stocks fr ee-to-the-community menstrual and postpartum product sheds located throughout Philadelphia. Requested donation items include pads, prenatal vitamins, witch hazel pads, stool softeners, numbing spray, postpartum adult diapers, postpartum underwear, diapers, and pregnancy tests. Community members may drop off donations at any participating location.

In addition, participating businesses will collect monetary donations for Women Against Abuse, Philadelphia’s leading domestic violence advocate and service provider. Through services including a 24-hour crisis hotline, safe haven shelters, and a legal center, the organization has supported more than 10,000 individuals in the past year.

The Manayunk Wingwomen initiative shines a spotlight on the remarkable women leading businesses that provide unique products, services, and experiences – while creating meaningful impact for women and families throughout Philadelphia.
