Road Closures and Detours This Week

Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of March 16 to March 20. 

“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”

Audubon

PSE&G will be working on Hopkins Road on Monday, March 16 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound on Hopkins Road between Cornell Road & Carlisle Road. 

Berlin Township

South Jersey Gas will be working on Hopewell Road & Cooper Road from Monday, March 16 to Thursday, March 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday & Wednesday, there will be a full road closure of Cooper Road between Taunton Road & Hopewell Road in Berlin Township. Tuesday & Thursday, there will be a full road closure of Hopewell Road between Cooper Road & Jackson Road in Waterford. 

Camden

  • Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue & Euclid Avenue. 

·         PSE&G will be working on Kaighn Avenue on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Baird Boulevard & Park Boulevard. 

  • PSE&G will be working on River Avenue on Wednesday, March 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a full road closure between North 31st Street & Beideman Avenue. 
  • PSE&G will be working on Broadway on Thursday, March 19 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a lane shift between Sycamore Steet & Chestnut Street.

Collingswood

Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.

Gibbsboro

Crews will be working on Foster Avenue on Tuesday, March 17 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Clementon Road & United State Avenue.

Laurel Springs

New Jersey American Water will be working on East Atlantic Avenue on Thursday, March 19 and Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a be a full road closure between Stone Road & Elma Avenue. 

Lawnside

New Jersey American Water will be working on Warwick Road on Tuesday, March 17 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be a partial road closure southbound between Douglas Avenue & East Oak Avenue.

Mt. Ephraim

PSE&G will be working on West Kings Highway on Friday, March 20 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be a partial road closure westbound between Sartori Avenue & Remington Avenue. 

Pine Hill

Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between Blackwood-Clementon Road & Erial Road. 

Voorhees Township

Crews will be working on White Horse Road from Tuesday, March 17 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Burnt Mill Road & Haddonfield-Berlin Road. 

Waterford Township

South Jersey Gas will be working on Hopewell Road & Cooper Road from Monday, March 16 to Thursday, March 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday & Wednesday, there will be a full road closure of Cooper Road between Taunton Road & Hopewell Road in Berlin Township.  Tuesday & Thursday, there will be a full road closure of Hopewell Road between Cooper Road & Jackson Road in Waterford. 

Winslow Township

Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial road closure northbound between Old Albertson Road & the Atlantic County Line.

Crews will be working on New Brooklyn Road from Monday, March 16 to Friday, March 20 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Lakedale Road & North Grove Street.

The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
