VINELAND, NJ (Cleary’s Notebook News)(April 7, 2026) — The Vineland Police investigation into the death of Philadelphia Christian Pastor Lance Warren on New Year’s Eve concluded on Friday, April 3, 2026, resulting in the arrest of Donald Hunt Jr., 34, of Pittsgrove. Hunt had been free since the accident, pending the outcome of the accident investigation.

It is alleged that the suspect was operating a Chevrolet Camaro while intoxicated at twice the posted speed limit at the time of the crash. Hunt faces charges of first-degree aggravated manslaughter, second-degree vehicular homicide, and third-degree strict liability vehicular homicide.
At approximately 9:20 p.m. on December 31, 2025, Vineland Police and other emergency responders arrived at North Delsea Drive and Columbia Avenue following a report of a two-vehicle collision.The 41-year-old pastor from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was making a U-turn in a Chrysler 300 when he was struck on the driver’s side by Hunt. The Vineland Police Department’s Traffic Safety Unit responded around 9:18 p.m. to the scene on North Delsea Drive (State Highway 47) and Columbia Avenue.
According to initial findings, Lance D. Warren, 41, of Drexel Hill, PA, was driving a 2022 Chrysler 300 southbound on N. Delsea Drive when he attempted to make a U-turn near Columbia Avenue. As Warren was completing the turn, his vehicle was hit by a 2014 Chevrolet Camaro driven by Donald S. Hunt Jr., 33, of Pittsgrove, NJ, who was also traveling south on Delsea Drive.
The impact occurred in the northbound lane.
Due to the force of the crash, Warren was transported to Inspira Health Vineland, where he was pronounced dead from his injuries. Hunt sustained a back injury and was also taken to Inspira for treatment.
Officer Anthony Capelli of the Vineland Police Traffic Safety Unit is leading the investigation.
