On 5/1, during a traffic stop, the driver was found to have a warrant for her arrest. Mt. Laurel provided an ROR and a new court date.
On 5/2, a Woodbury resident reported an unauthorized withdrawal of $500 from her account. Her card had been reloaded on May 1, and the funds were withdrawn in Newark overnight. The card has since been canceled, and the incident has been reported to the appropriate agencies. This case is currently under investigation.

On 5/3, a Westville resident was charged with trespassing and loitering after being observed hanging out on Lukoil property, where he had previously been trespassed. A court date is pending.
On 5/4, a resident of GG Green Apartments reported that someone had stolen her wagon from outside her apartment door. The wagon, a gift, features large wheels and orange and green ribbons tied to the handle. Its approximate value is $285. The incident is under investigation.
On 5/5, a resident of Wick Blvd. was charged with criminal mischief following an altercation inside their home. The court date is pending.
On 5/6, officers were dispatched to Acme for an active shoplifting incident. The suspect was identified and placed under arrest. The male, a resident of Mantua, was charged with shoplifting and later released. A court date is pending.
On 5/7, a Voorhees resident was charged with contempt of court and harassment after repeatedly contacting his victim via text and email despite being served a temporary restraining order and instructed to have no contact. A court date is pending.
On 5/8, another resident of Woodbury reported unauthorized purchases made with their card. The victim mentioned that their card had recently been replenished and that the unauthorized transactions took place in California. It was discovered that the victim had previously used the card at the Family Dollar store in Woodbury where a card skimming device was found. The card has since been canceled, and the appropriate departments have been notified of the incident. This case is currently under investigation.

On 5/9, officers were dispatched to the area of West Jersey Avenue and Linden Avenue in response to a report of damage to a vehicle. The caller stated that he was driving northbound on West Jersey Avenue when an unknown object struck his windshield, causing a small chip. The caller noticed several juveniles nearby, and two of them ran away. After speaking with the juveniles and their parents, they denied throwing anything but mentioned that the two who fled had been throwing rocks at vehicles earlier that night. The incident remains under investigation.
On 5/9, a Pennsgrove resident was charged with disorderly conduct, breach of peace, and harassment. Court date is pending.
On 5/10, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle traveling at 45 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone. During the stop, both the driver and passenger were found to have active warrants for their arrest. The driver, a resident of Woodbury, had three outstanding warrants. All jurisdictions granted her a release on recognizance (ROR) and assigned new court dates. She was issued traffic summonses for speeding, driving without a license, and driving with a suspended license. The passenger, also a Woodbury resident, was identified and charged as a fugitive from justice due to an NCIC hit out of Pennsylvania and was taken to the Salem County Jail. A court date is pending for him.
On 5/11, a property owner on Crescent Avenue was issued a summons for maintaining a nuisance due to at least 15 calls for service related to an apartment she rents out. These calls included incidents of burglary, possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, criminal mischief, trespassing, various disturbances, neighbor complaints, simple assault, disorderly conduct, and breach of peace. The court date is pending. Additionally, it was discovered that the owner has failed to register the rental property with the city and has not obtained a certificate of occupancy.
On 5/12, officers were dispatched to City Hall in response to a disorderly person report. The caller stated that a male resident of Woodbury Heights was unhappy with the service he received regarding obtaining a birth certificate and had begun yelling and threatening employees. Officers located the individual at Height’s Liquor Outlet, where he acknowledged his wrongdoing. City employees opted not to pursue charges, and no further police assistance was required.
On 5/14, a resident of Camden was charged with disorderly conduct and breach of peace after creating a disturbance and yelling profanities inside the McDonald’s on North Broad Street. The individual was informed that she was banned from the restaurant, and if she returned, she would be arrested and charged with trespassing. A court date is pending.
On 5/15, officers were dispatched to Aldi to respond to a shoplifting incident. Employees reported that a male entered the store, took some merchandise, pretended to pay, and then walked out. When the employees informed him that he hadn’t completed the payment, he returned to the register, acted as if he was paying again, and then left without actually paying. Once the individual is identified, he will be charged accordingly.
On 5/15, a resident of West Deptford came to the police headquarters to report that someone had stolen his grandson’s bicycle from the rear of his home on West Street. He provided a description of the bicycle and said he would email the serial number. The next day, the victim returned to the headquarters to report that he had seen another juvenile riding the stolen bike. Officers responded to the residence, retrieved the bicycle, and returned it to the owner. No complaints were filed.
