Several roadway projects will be underway across Camden County during the week of June 1 to June 5.
“Motorists should plan ahead to take alternate routes and give themselves plenty of time to get to their destinations,” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “Also, remember that when you’re traveling through a construction area, please slow down and stay alert for crew members and debris.”
Camden
- PSE&G will be working on North 27th Street on Monday, June 4, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure eastbound between River Avenue & Garfield Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Marlton Pike and Baird Boulevard on Monday, June 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be lane shifts at the intersection of Marlton Pike and Baird Boulevard.
- PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue on Monday, June 1 and Tuesday, June 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between Chestnut Street and Kaighn Avenue.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane closures between Market Street and Cooper Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Cooper Plaza.
- PSE&G will be working on River Avenue on Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Federal Street and East State Street.
- Crews will be working on Haddon Avenue on Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday). There will be a full road closure between Newton Avenue and Walnut Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Tuesday, June 2, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 18th Street and South 19th Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Federal Street on Wednesday, June 3, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be lane shifts between South Dudley Street and South 31st Street.
- PSE&G will be working on Terrace Avenue on Wednesday June 3, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be an eastbound partial road closure between Fremont Avenue and Highland Avenue, followed by a partial northbound road closure between Federal Street and Fremont Avenue.
- PSE&G will be working on Kaighn Avenue from Wednesday, June 3, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between South 7th Street and South 3rd Avenue.
- New Jersey American Water will be working on Baird Boulevard on Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial southbound road closure between Federal Street and Carmen Street.
Cherry Hill
· Crews will be working on Kresson Road on Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Springdale Road and Cropwell Road.
· Crews will be working on Cooper Landing Road from 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, to 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 4. There will be a full road closure between Georgia Avenue and Route 70.
Collingswood
Crews will be working on Park Avenue from Monday, June 1 to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure and sidewalk closures between Dill Avenue & Ogden Avenue.
Gibbsboro
Crews will be working on United States Avenue and Foster Avenue from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be a full road closure of United States Avenue between Lakeview Drive South and Berlin Road, and a full road closure of Foster Avenue between United States Avenue and Clementon Road.
Gloucester Township
· Crews will be working on Blackwood-Clementon Road on Monday, June 1, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial westbound road closure between Laurel Road and Kelly Driver Road.
· New Jersey American Water will be working on Evesham Road from Monday June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede and Schubert Avenue in Gloucester Township.
Oaklyn
PSE&G will be working on Newton Avenue from Monday, June 1, to Wednesday, June 3 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. There will be a full road closure between West Lakeview Avenue and West Collingswood Avenue.
Pine Hill
Crews will be working on West Branch Avenue from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial eastbound road closure between Blackwood-Clementon Road and Erial Road.
Runnemede
New Jersey American Water will be working on Evesham Road from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. There will be a partial road closure between West Clements Bridge Road (Route 41) in Runnemede and Schubert Avenue in Gloucester Township.
Winslow Township
Crews will be working on Mays Landing Road from Monday, June 1, to Friday, June 5, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There will be a partial northbound road closure between Old Albertson Road and the Atlantic County Line.
The Camden County Department of Public Works is responsible for maintaining over 1,200 miles of county roadway, over 200 bridges and several dams. They are dedicated to making our area safer for motorists and pedestrians through county highway construction projects and road maintenance, including pothole repairs, street sweeping, grass cutting, and storm drainage upkeep. The Public Works Department is located in Lindenwold where personnel are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to serve the residents of Camden County.
