The New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (NJMVC) today announced that its Somerville Agency will close and relocate to a new, expanded facility in nearby Green Brook Township in December 2026.
Customers are advised of the following transition dates:
- Wednesday, December 16 — the Somerville Agency, located at 10 Roosevelt Place, will close permanently. Customer appointments will continue to be serviced at Somerville through the end of the business day on December 16.
- Monday, December 21 — the new Green Brook Agency, located at 200 US-22 West, will open for business and begin servicing customers.
During the brief transition to the new facility from December 17 to 19, customers are encouraged to schedule appointments for vehicle services at the Flemington, Springfield, and Rahway agencies, or at alternative NJMVC locations throughout the state.
In December, more details about appointment availability and the improved amenities at Green Brook will be announced.
