We would like to thank all who contributed to the Gloucester City Lions Club 20th White Cane Drive in 2007. Approximately $3,931.00 was received from the drive. The Lions members supplied the funds necessary for printing and mailing. Listed below are the recipients of your $4,800.00 plus monies from the Lions Club:

The first week in April is the kick-off for the 2008 21st Annual White Cane Drive and the Gloucester City Lions Club continues a pledge to the citizens in Gloucester City and Brooklawn that 100 percent of the donations collected will be used to continue the community and sight programs of the Lions Club.

A project that the Gloucester City Lions Club is in the medical field. We have acquired medical appliances and are lending them to the Gloucester City and Brooklawn residents at no cost. We have wheel chairs, electric hospital beds, walkers, canes, and portable commodes available for loan at the present time.

Lion Charles Nash is in charge of this project. If you have any medical equipment that you would like to donate to the Lions Club contact Mr. Nash.

It will be picked up, refurbished and made available at no cost to any resident of Gloucester City or Brooklawn.

Remember the Lions Club still collects old eyeglasses. This project helps many sight impaired people. The glasses are shipped to North Jersey where they are sorted and sent to impoverished countries.
