HOWARTH, WILLIAM H.
On August 10, 2008, at Age 75.
Beloved husband of Anna May (nee Machristie). Proud, Devoted, Father and Friend of Dean (Michele), Robert (Pamela) and John (Jennifer). Adoring \’Pop-Pop\’ of Alexandra, Chelsey,Samuel,Andrew, Jack,Benjamin and Jake. Dear brother of Marge Bond.
Mr. Howarth earned his Bachelors in Education and Masters in Music from Combs College. He was an Educator for 34 years at Gloucester City High School. In addition to his teaching duties, he directed 22 musical productions, served as a football coach, role model and friend to countless students and colleagues during his tenure at the school. In the Gibbsboro Community, he served as a Councilman and Director of Youth Sports, also serving as Assistant Director for the CYO in South Jersey for many years. Mr. Howarth was an accomplished musician and entertainer for over 50 years. His love of golf enriched his life, especially after retirement, when he spent quality time with family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing 6-9pm Wednesday and 9:15-10:15am Thursday at the BRADLEY FUNERAL HOME, Rt 73 & Evesham Rd., Marlton. Mass of Christian Burial 11am Thursday at St. Andrew the Apostle Church in Gibbsboro. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Phila. Donations may be made to Lighthouse Hospice, 1040 N.
