To the residents of Gloucester City’s second ward,

My name is Wil Levins and I am an Independent Candidate for City Council.

I am running in the November general election against Incumbent Democratic Councilman Nick Marchese.

I chose to run for office because I believe our community needs at least one independent voice on City Council who will aggressively listen to and express the concerns of disenfranchised Democrats, Republicans and Independents. I believe I can be that voice because of my own nonpartisan political philosophy and the fact that I am not bound by obligations to any group or individual affiliation. Mine is a real independent candidacy that can work with our City Government for the maximum benefit of all residents.

Our governing body has made many positive changes for Gloucester City and I personally commend their achievements. However, I believe our Mayor and City Council would have benefited from an independent’s perspective or dissenting view to give them pause in some of their less popular decisions.
