Herschel E. Sapp, age 85, of Brooklawn, WW II Army Veteran

Age 85, of Brooklawn, NJ, died Thursday, September 3, 2009, at his home. Born in Camden, he has been a resident of Brooklawn for the past 25 years, formerly of Williamstown.

He is an Army veteran of World War II, serving with Battery A 115th Gun Battalion in Northern France and Central Europe. Mr. Sapp was a bus driver for NJ Transit for 37 years, retiring in 1986. A 1942 graduate of Camden High School, he enjoyed bowling and was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan.

Mr. Sapp is survived by his wife of 24 years, Frances D. Sapp, nee Corson, and 4 children. Funeral services and burial of his cremains will be private at the convenience of the family.
