Wildcats over Rams

The top-seeded St. Joseph, Hammonton beat second-seeded Gloucester Catholic today for the state Non-Public II title at Paul VI High school. The final score Wildcats 28, Rams 14.

St. Joe last won a state title in 2006. The Wildcats have won 18 playoff championships. They won eight straight titles from 1999-2006.

Gloucester Catholic hasn\’t won a title since it captured the now-defunct South Jersey Parochial B championship in 1979.

Gloucester Catholic has only lost this season to a pair of undefeated teams in Williamstown and Delsea Regional.
