Two of the generators to be closed are at Cromby Generating Station on the Schuylkill River in Phoenixville, Pa. One can produce 144 megawatts, burns coal and was put in service in 1954. The other can put out 201 megawatts, runs on natural gas or fuel oil and was put in service in 1955. When they are decommissioned, Cromby will close.
The other two generators are at Eddystone Generating Station on the Delaware River in Eddystone, Pa. Both were placed in service in 1960 and burn coal. One can generate 279 megawatts and the other can produce 309 megawatts.
