DOVER (March 27, 2015) – To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Enforcement Natural Resources Police officers between March 16-22 made 1,141 contacts with anglers, hunters, boaters and the general public, including 52 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks. Officers responded to 37 complaints and issued 21 citations, two of which were related to the C&D Canal Conservation Area and associated recreational trail, where there is an increased Fish & Wildlife Enforcement presence.

Obituary: Emile J. Murphy, of Runnemede

Emilie J. Murphy (nee McCullough), on March 27, 2015, of Runnemede. Age 96. 


Beloved wife of the late Charles G.W. Murphy and Richard Hagerty. Devoted mother of Judith Quigley-Smith, Monica McClintock (Bruce), Charles J. Murphy (Regina), and the late Eve Murphy-Fallon. Mother-in-law of Jerry Fallon. Loving grandmother of Roseanne, Tina, Kevin, Maureen, Steven, Charlie, Paul, Brandon, Alec, Kimberly, and Dawn and great grandmother of five.

The Murphy family wishes to extend sincere appreciation to the caregivers at St. Mary’s Catholic Home.

Emilie was a member of Barrington VFW Post 7247 Women’s Auxiliary and Runnemede Senior Citizens Club. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Teresa’s RC Church and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

There will be a viewing 9 to 10:15am Wednesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNNEMEDE.

Funeral Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa’s RC Church, Runnemede.

Interment Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Emilie’s memory to the National Brain Tumor Society, \”Team Honoring Eve Murphy-Fallon\”, The Curtis Center, 601 Walnut Street, Suite 955W, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
