Wreaths Across America Returns to Dover Motor Speedway

Monster Mile stop is part of the annual trek from Maine to Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia.
Parade and ceremony to honor nation’s veterans free to the public.

DOVER, Del. (Nov. 12, 2025) – Dover Motor Speedway once again hosts the only First State stop on Wreaths Across America’s annual trek down the East Coast to honor America’s heroes laid to rest at Arlington National Cemeteryon Thursday, Dec. 11. This marks the second annual visit to Dover Motor Speedway for the event.

Wreaths Across America’s 60-vehicle convoy of tractor-trailers, Patriot Guard riders, veterans, Gold Star Families and first responders will parade through Delaware before arriving in Dover at the Monster Monument at Victory Plaza for a ceremony before making its way to Arlington.

The festivities will be hosted by Matt Pencek, on-air host of WRDE Coast TV.

SJ Gas Reminds Customers of Available Energy Assistance Programs

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ, November 12, 2025 – As the arrival of seasonal cold weather quickly approaches the region, South Jersey Gas wants to remind customers that several federal and state assistance programs are available to help manage winter energy costs.
“At South Jersey Gas, we’re committed to ensuring that our customers have access to safe, reliable and affordable natural gas service no matter their financial circumstances,” said Bubba Schomber, President and COO, South Jersey Gas. “With winter on the horizon, our dedicated Energy Assistance teams are proactively building awareness around resources, tips and tools that customers can leverage to meet their energy needs now and well into the future.”
In response to the ongoing economic challenges experienced by residential utility customers, the following assistance programs are available for low- to moderate-income families. For instance, a family of four can make up to $160,276 and may be eligible to receive assistance through the SHARES/ PAGE program. South Jersey Gas’ Energy Assistance team is available to help customers determine if they are eligible for any of these services and identify which program is suitable for each household.
The programs available to customers include the following:
The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides federally funded energy assistance to help low- to moderate-income families meet their energy needs. LIHEAP also offers an added emergency crisis benefit component, offering eligible applicants an additional benefit to maintain or restore service. Grants are provided on an average of $300. Emergency LIHEAP is an additional grant of up to $800. LIHEAP accepts applications from October 1 through June 30 each year and accepts applications for its ancillary emergency grant from March 16 through June 30 each year. GTPD Police Investigating Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash On Berlin Cross Keys Road

After a comprehensive investigation in conjunction with the Camden County Prosecutors Office, Marcus A. Young (Age 23) of Sicklerville, NJ was charged with 2nd degree Death by Auto and 3rd degree Assault by Auto for his role in a fatal motor vehicle crash on October 11, 2025. Victims of the crash, Louis Bontya (Age 76) passed due to serious injury and his wife Christina (Age 75) suffered serious injury.

On Saturday, October 11, 2025, at approximately 10:13 PM, officers from the Gloucester Township Police Department responded to a serious motor vehicle crash involving a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a sedan at the intersection of Berlin Cross Keys Road and Johnson Road in the Sicklerville section of Gloucester Township.

NJDEP, SYSCO CORP. ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP TO EXPAND SHELL RECYCLING IN NEW JERSEY

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection today announced a groundbreaking partnership with the Sysco Corporation that will create opportunities for a significant expansion of the state’s successful program that uses seafood shells recycled from restaurants for creation of oyster reefs. The reefs can improve the ecological health of coastal waters, reduce waste to landfills, enhance climate resilience and benefit local restaurants.

The collaboration, announced during a news conference and tour of Sysco’s Buckhead Meat & Seafood processing facility in Lakewood, Ocean County, builds on the company’s similar efforts elsewhere to restore oyster reefs, which can play an important role in maintaining and enhancing healthy coastal ecosystems.

Through this partnership, Sysco, the world’s largest food distributor, will collect discarded oyster and clam shells from restaurants it serves across the region and provide them to NJDEP Fish & Wildlife’s Shell Recycling Program for oyster reef enhancement projects that could potentially expand to multiple sites along the state’s coastline.

Vincent N. Matarazzo, 82, born in Philadelphia

Vincent N. Matarazzo passed away peacefully on November 9, 2025. He was the cherished and devoted husband of Nancy Acello and the loving father of Anthony (Tatiana). Vince was born in Philadelphia to the late Nicholas and Ann Matarazzo. Vince is also survived by his brother, Lucky (Elizabeth); his sister, Carmella Snyder (Richard); his mother-in-law, Concetta Acello; and his brothers- and sisters-in-law: Janice Acello, Donna DiGennaro (Mike), Karen Acello (Bruce), Lisa Acello (Tony), William Acello (Jacqueline), Tina Conte (Mark), and Marty Castro. He will be deeply missed by his many loving nieces and nephews, as well as by his sons, Vincent and Christopher, and their families.

16 New Jersey Towns May Loose Immunity from Developer Lawsuits

The Fair Share Housing Center has warned 16 New Jersey towns that they may lose immunity from developer lawsuits if they do not revise their affordable housing plans by December 31, 2025. The center claims these towns have failed to comply with state law and could be forced to accept high-density developments if they lose their legal protection. The towns include Belmar, East Greenwich, Florham Park, Franklin Lakes, Hanover, Lyndhurst, Madison, Montvale, North Arlington, Park Ridge, Rockaway, Roxbury, Saddle River, Summit City, Toms River, and West Windsor.
