John J. Rafferty, III, 83, of Sea Girt

On October 25, 2025, Age 83. Of Sea Girt and formerly of Bay Head, Toms River and New Brunswick.  Cherished and devoted son of the late John J. Rafferty, II (former NJ Supreme Court Justice and NJ Assemblyman) and Kathryn Rafferty (nee Kemp). Survived my many loving cousins and beloved friends. Predeceased by many aunts, uncles and cousins. 

John was born in Bound Brook and raised in New Brunswick. He was a devout Roman Catholic who truly loved his faith and attended daily and Sunday Mass. 

A few short days ago, John Rafferty made his way up to Heaven to meet his Dear Lord, parents and “Pups.” Sadly, we have lost John’s touch, but there is no question that he left his indelible mark on each of our hearts. Because we all agree, “To meet John Rafferty is to love him!”

I have six years of substitute teaching experience, experience as Gloucester City’s DARE Officer, and I am the current Vice Principal of Holy Name Elementary School in Camden, NJ. I am seeking a position as an advocate for children. I have been lucky enough to have been able to retire from the NJ Police and Fire Pension system. Brazilian Taste Recalls Frozen Chicken and Beef Croquette Products


Brazilian Taste, a Lexington, S.C. establishment, is recalling approximately 4,120 pounds of chicken and beef croquettes due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The product contains sesame, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.

   Why not? Because the great candidate Vermin Love Supreme only runs for President and doesn’t mess about trying to be someone’s governor. V.L., who appears to be a bearded cross between Archimedes and Alexander Graham Bell,  tends to stand out in a crowd. That is largely because he’s usually wearing a boot on his head and is carrying a giant toothbrush.

Virtua Health to Host ‘Pop-Up’ Shopping Opportunitiesfor Fresh, Affordable Food

Wanted: Suspect for Commercial Robbery in the 2nd District [VIDEO]

The Philadelphia Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying this male in this video:

On November 1, 2025 at Approximately 11:45 am the unknown suspected entered the Dunkin Donuts, 6391 Oxford Ave, walked up to the cashier and demanded money. The cashier opened the register and handed over undisclosed amount money and fled west on Oxford Ave.

Gloucester City Road Closure Notice

On Wednesday, November 5, 2025, Essex St will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7:00 AM for approximately 24 hours due to Conrail repairing the railroad crossing.  Essex St will be closed from Broadway to Railroad Ave (North).  All tractor trailer traffic should use the Exit 4, Holtec Blvd, from I-76.  There will be no open truck routes from Collings Ave. See map for detours and closures.

Commissioners break ground on $7.5 million Kresson Road project

(Lindenwold, NJ) – The Board of Commissioners broke ground on a $7.5 million investment to reconstruct 2.1-mile length of Kresson Road from Browning Lane to Cropwell Road. The project is anticipated to be completed by the end of August 2026. This thoroughfare will be fully reconstructed, but traffic flow will be maintained during the construction process throughout the length of the roadway. 

“Kresson Road is one of Cherry Hill Township’s most heavily traveled roadways, and this investment will greatly improve safety, accessibility, and the overall driving experience for residents, pedestrians, and commuters alike.” said Commissioner Al Dyer, liaison to the Department of Public Works. “We ask that drivers for their patience during the construction period, as the short-term inconvenience will lead to long-term infrastructure improvements for our community.”

Hesgeth meets with South Korea at DMZ

Hegseth meets with South Korean counterpart along DMZ, Ukraine receives more U.S.-made Patriot systems, and need for support in military communities grow as government shutdown continues.

1.      U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth visited the Demilitarized Zone separating the two Koreas on Monday as he began a two-day visit to ally South Korea for security talks. Hegseth and South Korean Defense Minister Ahn Gyu-back received a briefing from military officials at Observation Post Ouellette, a site near the military demarcation line that past U.S. presidents, including Donald Trump during his first term in 2019, had visited to peer across the border into North Korea and meet with American soldiers. Hegseth and Ahn also visited the Panmunjom border village, where an armistice was signed to pause the 1950-53 Korean War. Ahn’s ministry said the visit “reaffirmed the firm combined defense posture and close coordination” between the allies. Hegseth did not mention North Korea, which has ignored Washington and Seoul’s calls for dialogue in recent years while accelerating the expansion of its nuclear weapons and missile programs.
